BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – It was watermelons galore in Delaware on Sunday as Evan’s Farms hosted their annual Watermelon Festival.
The event kicked off in Bridgeville with face painting, games, a seed spitting contest, and of course, plenty of watermelons.
The festival had activities for the entire family and is meant to bring the community together drawing in hundreds of people from all over Delmarva.
“We usually have several hundred come out for the Watermelon Festival each year,” said Katey Evans, the event organizer.
“It’s a nice event for the Mar-Del Watermelon Association as well as ourselves,” said Evans.
The Festival is an annual event that seems to be growing in popularity with each year.
