BERLIN, Md.- Berlin Electric has scheduled two town-wide outages on Wednesday, June 19 at 12:30 a.m. and Thursday, June 20 at 12:30 a.m., to make repairs to essential equipment.

The outages will last approximately two to three hours each, according to Berlin Town Administrator Laura Allen.

Allen said both outages are weather-permitting, so if it rains the town will reschedule them.

“The outages were timed to minimize the impact on our residential and commercial customers, as well as limit the need for overtime,” Allen said. “We’re making this announcement early to give our electric customers time to plan.”

Allen said that while the town expects to have service back up before everyone heads to work, Berlin Electric customers should make sure they have a non-electric alarm clock to get them up those mornings.
