Delaware State Police has arrested three people on drug charges following the search of a Dagsboro home.
The Sussex Drug Unit with the assistance of Sussex Governor’s Task Force executed a search and seizure warrant at a home on the 30000 block of Iron Branch Road in Dagsboro.
Inside were Keion Sturgis, 28, his mother and the primary resident, 47-year-old Lynnell D. Drummond, and Lamar D. Morris, 36, of Selbyville. There were also three juveniles ranging in age from 11 to 17 within the home.
Detectives recovered 156 bags of heroin, which Sturgis attempted to discard in the toilet. Sturgis also possessed approximately .47 grams of powder cocaine and more than $2,700 in suspected drug money. Also recovered from inside the residence was approximately .16 grams of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Sturgis, Drummond and Morris were transported to Troop 5.
Sturgis was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $15,500 cash bond.
Drummond was charged with maintaining a drug property, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $6,500 cash bond.
Morris was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Morris was arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
