SALISBURY, MD. – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office said a Salisbury man is facing charges after they found him in possession of several guns, including a stolen assault rifle.
The WCSO’s Community Action Team started the investigation in May, when it was believed illegal narcotics were being sold from a home on the 500 block of Dover Street in Salisbury.
After obtaining a search and seizure warrant, police searched the home on May 24.
Three guns were found inside: a stolen AR with a 60 round capacity drum style magazine loaded with 51 .556 caliber rounds, a loaded Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver, and a loaded Colt 38 caliber revolver.
Authorities also said they found multiple scales and packaging material, which they said indicates the sale or distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. Lastly, police also said they found gang paraphernalia.
33-year-old Leo Darnell Shaw was arrested. He is facing several gun-related charges, after police said he is a convicted felon who isn’t allowed to have firearms.
The Salisbury Police Department Tactical Team assisted the Sheriff’s Office in the case.
