SALISBURY, Md. – Maryland fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a Salisbury home early Monday morning.

Officials say the fire was reported at 617 Truitt Street just before 4 a.m. We’re told it took 35 firefighters approximately two hours to control the blaze, which began in a first floor bedroom.

Fire damage has been estimated at $100,000. The family has been displaced and is currently being assisted by the American Red Cross.
