REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – A fire that damaged a mobile home in Rehoboth Beach on Tuesday has been deemed accidental.

According to the Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal, the blaze was reported around noon in the 19000 block of Sea Air Avenue, in the Sea Air Village. Fire officials observed an active fire inside a mobile home on arrival.

A 30-year-old male residence was taken to Beebe Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation and was later admitted to the Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. A second female occupant was taken to Beebe for evaluation.

Deputy State Fire Marshals were called to investigate and determine that the fire was caused by a candle in the living room that ignited nearby combustibles. Heavy fire damage was estimated at $50,000.
