FRANKFORD, Del. –  Frankford is adding a brand new music festival this summer, and it has one key mission.

Frankford resident and organizer Wesley Hayes Jr., and his new company Center Stage Resouces, have a few performers lined up, including Zion Band, several gospel artists, as well as local DJs, and together they plan to bring awareness to mental health issues.

Hayes says music can be an amazing tool, adding that he wants to use that tool to bring people together in one place to enjoy food and music while also getting the education they need.

“Something has touched everyone’s family in some sort of way, whether it be cancer or mental illness. And it’s dear to a lot of people’s hearts, and we just want to see that other people can have help in those areas if they need it,” said Hayes.

The festival will take place August 17, rain or shine. Hayes adds that the goal is to take this music festival to other towns across Sussex County.
