LEWES, Del. – Two people were arrested on drug charges following a domestic dispute Monday morning.

According to police, at around 7:30 a.m., a call came in regarding a female that was inside of a gray BMW and appeared to be involved in a domestic dispute with a male driver in the area of Sussex Drive and Savannah Road. On arrival, Lewes Police observed the vehicle in the Highland Acres neighborhood and initiated a traffic stop.

On contact with the driver, identified as Massimo Fabbri, police noticed scratches and bruising consistent with an altercation. Delaware State Police was called to assist and found the female, Christina Lombardi, walking on foot in the 900 block of Mauri Drive. Lombardi also had visible injuries consistent with the domestic claim.

Further investigation led police to search both subjects, locating 191 grams of cocaine with a street value of $19,100, along with $3,201 in cash. A 2013 BMW X5 was also seized as evidence, as it was used in the commission of the drug crime.

Fabbri was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance with an aggravating factor (school zone), conspiracy second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and offensive touching. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $32,100 cash bail.
