A domestic incident led to drug arrests for two Washington, D.C., residents in Lewes. 

About 7:30 a.m., May 30, Lewes police received a 911 call about a woman yelling for help during a domestic dispute inside a gray BMW in the area of Savannah Road and Sussex Drive.

Lewes police located the vehicle driving a short distance away in the Highland Acres community. The driver, Massimo Fabbri, was found to have scratches and bruising consistent with an altercation, police say.

Delaware State Police found the woman, Christina Lombardi, walking in the 900 block of Mauri Drive. She had visible injuries consistent with a fight. 

While investigating, police searched both subjects with help from the Lewes K9 and found 191 grams of cocaine with a street value of $19,100. They also found $3,201 in cash. 

Fabbri and Lombardi were each charged with possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a school zone, second-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fabbri was also charged with offensive touching. Lombardi was committed to Sussex Correctional Insititution in default of $27,100 cash bail. Fabbri was committed to SCI in default of $32,100 cash bail. 

The 2013 BMW X5 was seized as evidence.
