DOVER, Del.- Dover police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with two shooting incidents that happened this week.
The first incident happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Willis Road. Police responded to a report of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, officers learned that multiple cars and homes had been struck.
A witness provided cellphone photos of a gray Ford truck and a four-door sedan that had fled immediately after the shots were fired, police said.
Around 12:10 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to the area of Stevenson Drive for a report of shots fired.
Officers located Jaquell McDonald fleeing the scene and took him into custody, according to police.
Officers also found a .40-caliber handgun that was in the area McDonald was seen fleeing, as well as a set of keys to a Ford F-150 that was featured in the cell phone photo provided by a witness, police said.
McDonald was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, six counts of first-degree reckless endangering and five counts of criminal mischief. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $75,500 cash bond.
