CAMDEN-WYOMING, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested two suspects in connection with a trailer theft.

Police say incident occurred on June 6, at approximately 3:15 a.m., when troopers observed two vehicles on a property located in the 400 block of Todd’s Mill Rd. 

Troopers pulled over one of the vehicles, a blue Dodge Ram pulling a large white enclosed trailer with improper tail lights.

Police identified the driver as 56-year-old Mark T. Harris of Camden-Wyoming. Investigators learned that Harris had a suspended driver’s license and active capias. Through further investigations, it was determined that the utility trailer was stolen from the property on Todd’s Mill Rd. 

Harris was taken into custody without incident.

The second suspicious vehicle had left the scene prior to police contact. Police made contact with the driver of the second vehicle, identified as 52-year-old Richard M. Walls of Camden-Wyoming.

Harris was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:

  • Remove Warranty/ Cert Sticker, VIN Plate
  • Theft (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
  • Criminal Trespass
  • Driving While Suspended
  • Improper Tail Lights
  • Other Traffic Related Offenses

Harris was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $3,106 cash only bond.

Walls turned himself in at Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:

  • Theft (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
  • Criminal Trespass

Walls was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $4500 unsecured bond.
